Bandits kill two in separate attacks on Ayekale, Rani communities of Ifelodun and Patigi
Armed bandits on Monday killed a vigilante member during an attack on Ayekale community, Idofin Odo-Ashe, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The attack occurred at about 08:30 pm when the bandits invaded the community shooting repeatedly.
The vigilantes in the community, however, put up stiff pushback, leading to the killing of a personnel identified as Wale Awo Penpe.
The bandits operated for hours without further resistance, throwing the community into panic.
An earlier report has it that one person was killed and two others abducted on Sunday in Rani village, Patigi Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased was identified as the village head who was murdered when residents were about to observe the 7:00 pm evening Magrib payer.
Efforts to reach security agencies and the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, in Ilorin on Tuesday proved abortive.
The two local governments have been under constant attacks by bandits and other criminals who steal, kill and abduct locals.
The state government said it is doing everything to bring order and peace to the ares.
