Ifelodun LG orders squatters to vacate forest areas
Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state on Wednesday ordered all squatters in forests around the local government to vacate with immediate effect.
The council listed the affected forests to include Babanla, Oro-Ago, Babasango, Igbo Elefan, Ekiti boundary, and Edu boundary, among others.
The chairman of the council, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, gave the directive in a statement by his chief press secretary, Abdulquadri Jimba.

Jimba quoted the council chairman as saying that the directive is in compliance with ongoing security efforts in the affected areas.
“Those in the bush are to vacate immediately and failure to do so will attract security consequences,” the chairman stated.
