56 KWASU Law graduates join Nigeria Bar, 82 bag first class

A total of 56 Law graduates of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, have been called to the Nigeria bar.

Meanwhile, the institution is set to produce 8, 119 fresh graduates at its 13th convocation ceremony billed for 15th December.

Of this figure, 82 bagged First-Class honours, 1,986 Second Class Uppers, 4,195 Second Class Lowers, and 1,355 Third Class graduates.

He stated that there has been significant academic growth and infrastructural development since the last ceremony, with the two other campuses, Osi and Ilesha-Baruba, now hosting both staff and students of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences.

“You will recall that last year, the governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, approved the upgrade of the Ilorin General Hospital to a teaching hospital. It is with pleasure that I say that KWASU’s 4th-year medical students have resumed at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital.

“Also, 56 law graduates of the university were called to the bar this year. These are the first and second sets of law graduates of KWASU. These two developments are milestones we have long waited for as KWASU continues to train and produce critical workforce for the different sectors,” he said.
