Tragedy strikes KWASU as final year student dies in crash en route to exam

The Kwara State University (KWASU) community has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of Idris Aremu Agboluaje, a final-year student who lost his life in a vehicular accident on Wednesday.

​The incident occurred while Agboluaje was traveling to the Malete campus to sit for one of his final degree examinations.

​In a statement released on Thursday, February 5, the university registrar, Dr. Kikelomo W. Sallee, expressed the institution’s profound grief over the sudden loss.

​”The management of Kwara State University feels very deeply pained by the loss of a promising young man and prays that God consoles his family, friends, loved ones, and the entire KWASU community,” the statement read.

​The university management extended its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, noting that the loss of a student so close to graduation is a significant blow to the entire academic community.
